Chelsey Rogers

Chelsey Rogers is the cohost of The Law Unscripted LLC.

UNDERGRADUATE CAREER

While studying at Columbus State University, Chelsey was active in campus life as a member of the CSU Dance Team, as a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, as a member of Phi Beta Delta International Honors Society, as SGA student body president, as keynote speaker for BRMS Beta Club and for Students’ Day, and as Miss Columbus State University.

Her involvement in on-campus and off-campus activities led Chelsey to realize that she had a heart and passion for people often overlooked or unaided by our legal system. Therefore, Chelsey volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the foster care system and as a Victim Advocate at The Sexual Assault Support Center in Columbus, Georgia throughout her undergraduate terms.

In recognition of her scholarship, her achievements, and her volunteer work at CSU, Chelsey received the Charles Easton Book Scholarship, the Judye and Morton Harris Scholarship, the HOPE Scholarship, the Tower Traditions Medal, the President’s Volunteer Service Award, and the Phi Mu Best New Member Award.

LAW SCHOOL CAREER

After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with minors in Business, Economics, and International Studies, Chelsey was accepted into the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. where she has studied diligently and actively participated in student life for the past three years. She has served as the ADVANCE Vice-President, as a writer for the Criminal Law Practitioner Brief, as a member of Phi Alpha Delta, and as a member of the Student Body Association.

During her time in law school, Chelsey has also completed multiple legal internships. She worked as a legal research intern at the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, D.C., as a student attorney with the Community Equity and Economic Development Clinic in Washington, D.C., as an intern with the Washington, D.C. Public Defender’s Office, as a legal intern at Greenblatt and Veliev in Rockville, Maryland, and as an intern at Tehrani Law, LLC in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

UPCOMING JOURNEY

Chelsey graduated from the American University Washington College of Law in May 2023, and she studied for the Bar exam with Virginia Tehrani through The Law Unscripted, LLC throughout the Summer of 2023. She will took the bar exam in July 2023 and passed with flying colors! She was inducted into the Maryland Bar November 2023.
